I have been developing websites for the last 23 years. Yes, you read it right, I started working at 13, and my competencies confirm the recommendations of that period of the Westminster University studio. I worked as a front end and backend developer in various studios. After graduating from university in 2007 with a degree in applied mathematics, I finally decided on a profession. I became a user experience designer thanks to the book “The Humane Interface: New Directions for Designing Interactive Systems” by Jef Raskin.
I was fascinated by the human-machine interaction solutions that had become commonplace when I read the book. I realized that I wanted to influence the world by designing interfaces that people would use.
Thanks to the specialty I received at the university and my experience as a programmer, I naturally focused on product design for SaaS, CRM, and ERP solutions. Since they required a designer to delve deeper into the problems of a particular business.
Working in different places, I formed an approach that would allow me to give a result no matter what. I am sure that the reader has launched products and knows how many things can go wrong. In general, these are philosophical doctrines that allow me to give a predictable result.
As Mike Monteiro rightly points out in his book Design is Work, Design is a craft that can be mastered if you listen, watch and learn.
Design is secondary, the pain of the user, manager, developer, and department director is primary. A correctly identified problem is the key to a successful design. Design that will truly needed by all participants in the process.
In my work, I try to adhere to a reasoned approach. A systematic approach allows not only to present, but also to test the obtained solutions on users or team members.
If you need a designer who will listen to you, be able to correctly identify problems, know the specifics of web and mobile development, can justify their decisions, and you are making a fintech product, I am an excellent choice.
